Thanks for signing up. This is the first Aurum Commerce newsletter, and I wanted to start by saying hello.

My name is Leigh Parker. I’ve worked in retail for 25 years, and I run a shop in Timmins, Ontario. I built Aurum Commerce because I wanted a point-of-sale app that a small shop could simply own. I use it in my own store every day.

After 25 years behind the counter, I was fed up with POS systems: fee after fee, quirky hardware, software I couldn’t customize, a look and feel stuck in the past, no quick help when something went wrong, and inventory that took far too much work. So I built the system I wanted.

Early access beta: Aurum is new and updated often, and I’m still improving it based on feedback from early testers. A big update, version 1.2.7.1, is out now.
